Freedom Construction Services Superintendent
Reports to: Director of Employment Training
Requirements:
Have a growing and personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Calling to reach young adults (18-25 years old) in the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Knowledge and experience in Construction Trades, Educational Trade Curriculum and OSHA Safety
Strong interpersonal skills in leading, teaching and developing staff and program participants
Proficient in administrative duties such as scheduling projects, developing program informational material, performance evaluations, program budgeting, etc.
Able to work effectively with other team members to create repeatable and effective business and work training processes
10 + years knowledge of skilled trades
3 + years of educating in skilled trades
Must agree to and sign the Freedom for Youth Core Values and Statement of Faith
Duties and Responsibilities:
Overseer of Freedom Construction Services
Work closely with Freedom for Youth Ministries program staff to effectively run a pre-apprentice employment training program
Aids in the developing of a pre-apprenticeship curriculum in finished carpentry, plumbing, electric, and HVAC, etc.
Promotes and practices safe work habits, identifying and resolving potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies and any team member or project incidents.
Documents incidents, conducts initial investigation and determines root cause in the interest of maintaining a safe work environment.
Develops and executes construction projects and profit plans that are in line with budgetary goals.
Accountable for profitability of Freedom Construction by growing project opportunities, evaluating labor costs, supplies and expenses.
Continually develops team members, establishing specific performance objectives, and measuring team member performance regularly.
